The recent Inspection findings have been made public by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate and I am now at liberty to share these findings with you. I attach the letter from HM Chief Inspector Aileen Monaghan who lead the team who visited Clifton Hall in January.
Among the findings which are most pleasing are the conclusions that,
‘The care and welfare of children and young people is given the highest priority throughout the school’
‘At all stages, children and young people have very positive attitudes to learning and they are very proud of their school’
‘Attainment in national qualifications is strong (and) they (pupils in S4-6) achieve success in moving to a positive destination after leaving school.’
‘Curriculum provision is strong.’
I would like to thank all members of staff, all pupils and all parents who contributed and shared their opinions with the Inspectorate team. Inspection can be, for many schools, a somewhat harrowing experience. At Clifton Hall, we found it a very positive one that affirmed much of what we do. We will now study the report in detail and see how we can improve further.
