Woodland Adventures Await
Forest Fridays are a much-loved part of Nursery life. Wrapped up for the weather, children head to our woodland base camp within the school’s 52-acre grounds — expect muddy wellies and happy faces.
Sessions are led by our Head of Nursery, a qualified teacher and Forest School Leader. Carefully planned yet child-led, activities may include den building, balancing on logs, bug hunting, creating natural art and exploring our new Woodland Trail. Along the trail, children discover the diverse plants, trees and wildlife within our private woodland and learn how to care for this special environment.
Seasonal change shapes every visit — splashing through autumn leaves, spotting frost in winter, discovering new growth in spring and seeking shade on warmer days.
Forest Fridays nurture confidence, resilience and teamwork, while fostering curiosity and a deep and lasting connection to the natural world.
